Cristiana Brusco is an Italian- Argentinian passionate artist who has lived in San Diego since 2012. She is an active board member of The Southwestern Artists Association and a member of the Spanish Village Art Center in Balboa Park.
She started painting with oils when she moved from Italy to the US. She has developed as an artist through classes, workshops, books, and videos, as well as learning from other artists and her own experimentation.
Living most part of her life in Italy surrounded by marvelous art, she learned to catch the small details in the world and life that make things beautiful.
Inspired by the beauty of San Diego nature, she paints mostly abstract contemporary landscapes and seascapes. She works primarily in oils, applying paint over several painting sessions, building up layers of color and detail. She uses brushes and palette knife to create the last layer of texture and 3D effect. Her work is mostly characterized by her bold, splashy use of color.
Find her artwork displayed at the Studio 23 and 16b in Spanish Village Art center, Balboa Park.
