Christie Curran

I am a classically trained fine artist specializing in Plein Air oil

painting, residential, commercial, and hospitality commissions, site-
specific work, and color consultations. I have extensive theatrical

scenic experience, most recently as the charge artist on “The
Mystery of Irma Vep”, Diversionary Theatre, San Diego. I am
originally from Philadelphia and graduated with honors from Moore
College of Art with a fine arts painting major. I love the “alla prima”
aspect of my painting technique. This translates to “first attempt” and
is a wet on wet technique applied in one sitting. This forces me to
paint with a quick tempo and has a spontaneity to the finished
painting. One of the subjects I enjoy to paint is historical homes and
buildings. I have a deep passion for historical preservation and feel
compelled to document these places.
