I was born and raised in Russia and moved to the US in 1996. 

I feel so blessed to be living in such a beautiful place. In a world where there is so much disagreement and negativity, we often forget and do not notice the beauty of simple things around us: blue sky and white foam of ocean waves, a butterfly on a flower, a stranger’s smile, a hug of a loved one…

The great Russian writer Feodor Dostoevsky said one day that “beauty will save the world”. The enigma of the phrase leaves a lot to interpretation. 

To me it’s choosing kindness, sharing beauty, spreading love. I am trying to put my interpretation of that on canvas. I want my art to calm your mind and make your heart sing. I want it to ease pain and distress, and bring peace and love … I want to share this with you, and change somebody’s mood for maybe just one day…
